What is x-arf?

x-arf (extended abuse reporting format) is a community driven email format.

Why x-arf?

The main intention of x-arf is to extend the so far known MARF (Message Abuse Reporting Format). MARF itself is caught in his strict limitation to messaging services only. But unfortunately there is no plan and no preparation to offer a possibility to report for example ssh attacks or phishing websites.

To stop the increasing number of homegrown and self defined reporting formats and offer an easy way to handle incoming complaints more effectively the x-arf format was designed.
