Global Reporting

Network abuse on the Internet has increased rapidly over the past ten years.

Developers of conventional spam filters and firewalls have tried to tackle to problem but still billions of spam emails are sent every day, networks are threatened by DoS and other attacks and numberless phishing sites pollute the Internet.

Global Reporting is our answer to the problem.

With this approach, we provide solid, accurate and reliable information about spam mails and other abusive behavior to network operators in order to help them clean their network. Traditional spam filters quickly face limitations when spammers change their tactic or have managed to unlock another loop hole. Even more often, they report false positives. abusix has developed a system that is able to detect accurately spam emails and reports them to the network operators abuse contacts.

ISPs don’t send spam, spammers do.

What does this have to do with us?
A mailbox full of spam emails sucks! It decreases the user's satisfaction on the Internet who is your customer. Therefore, the issue of abusive behavior needs to be addressed at its roots. Network operators and particularly their system administrations and abuse departments are the only bodies capable of stopping Internet abuse. Although not the original senders of spam content, network operators make it easy for the spam industry to be profitable. Shutting down abusive systems on the network operator side as fast as possible is the best way to tackle the problem in an appropriate way.

Why fast?

Spam pays off – as spammers still earn money with it. Like all startup enterprises, spam-spreading firms have setup costs, such as costs to get control over botnets or hacked systems. Spamming thus only pays off in the midterm and long run. This is where abusix takes effects: if abusive systems are detected and shut down on the ISP side immediately, the margins for spammers decrease and so do their incentives to distribute spam content.
